FAQ

How long will my piece take?

When you place an order, you will be put in a commission line. Turn around times for pieces vary between 1-3 weeks, depending on where you are in that line. Becky will include an estimated time for completion in her follow up email before beginning the piece.

How and when do I pay?

Depending on your order total, a deposit may be needed to lock in your commission. Becky will discuss this with you in her follow up email. The remainder is then paid upon completion of your piece. Cash or E-transfer is preferred.

Do you deliver or ship internationally?

For local orders, pick up is at Northern Flaree's headquarters - the address is provided once full payment has been made, OR a location is decided within Whistler if you are without a vehicle (This is discussed during contact of completion).

Becky ships within Canada but currently NOT internationally. A postage cost will be added to the order, please note that Becky is not in-control of postage times and will ship as standard unless asked otherwise.

What do I need for Realism?

It is super important that your picture quality is high

.

Let's take Pet Portraits for example: Is the image focused? Can you see the dogs eyes and nose clearly with detail? If you zoom in does the dog/fur stay defined? If the answer to any of these questions is NO, then that image will not work. If this is confusing, then send Becky a couple of your favourite photos - she will inform you of the best ones for wood burning.

Do you wood burn people?

To an extent, Yes. However, Becky will not do faces. If the people are facing away looking at a view or have helmets on, then that is fine!

Can you make up a scene?

For realism, No. Becky can combine photos, for example: picture of people, add picture of house behind. Northern Flaree can not alter poses. For example: putting those people's arms in the air.

For unique gifts, yes; due to them being fictional scenes.
